Hydraulic motor-driven foam pumps are primarily used on fire truck apparatus and emergency response equipment. These pumps are mounted on a predrilled, anodized aluminum bracket and ready to mount the associated hydraulic motor. The clear advantage of this pump assembly is the variable-speed motor that adjusts to foam concentrate demand changes.

Gear-type positive displacement pumps are used for pumping foam concentrate (AFFF, AR-AFFF, FP, FFFP, High Ex, SFFF, etc.). These pumps are the only type that works effectively in foam systems. Foam concentrate pumps are integral to fire suppression systems for many applications, including but not limited to the petroleum, oil and gas (POG), aircraft hangars, emergency response, and specialty chemical storage industries.
